London Christian School celebrated its 10th anniversary a few weeks ago, with a special assembly at the Greenwood Theatre, near London Bridge.
The school opened in 2007 with just four pupils. It now has 120 children.
With the whole school present, parents were treated to hearing from the school's talented choir, recorder ensemble, and speech and drama group. They also watched a wonderful anniversary film tracking the school's first decade and even heard a special message from the first headteacher, Mrs Georgie Withane, who now lives in Australia. The morning culminated in a fantastic rendition of a special song, written by the school's music teacher, Mr McConville, and was sung by the entire school.
The children then had a huge picnic in the fields opposite the school.
The biggest surprise was yet to come however, as they returned to a transformed school building decked out for a huge party. The children enjoyed a range of festivities throughout the afternoon to mark the milestone.
