This week, years 3 and 4 went to the Natural History Museum for a volcanoes workshop. They enjoyed observing a mini-earthquake and even took part in creating one through a simulation model. A huge interactive map was used to display all the different places where earthquakes are likely to take place and volcanoes are situated. The children particularly enjoyed playing with fake lava. Back at school, they continued their investigations with the help of Mr Hunt's brother, a real volcanologist.
