A book fair at LCS
LCS was delighted to have the The Kew Bookshop visit recently. An amazing selection of books were on display. Children and adults alike enjoyed discovering new authors as well as well-known classics. A variety of beautifully illustrated picture books and intriguing novels flew off the shelves!
Enthusiasm about book choices have been bubbling over at school, with one student saying, “I bought the Bear Stylist (by Steven Butler). It really made me laugh!” Another student wanted to share his book with all of his classmates, “I’ve finished it already, so I’ve brought it into school so someone else can read it!” A member of staff said “What a great opportunity to enthuse children about reading!”
Thank you to everyone who supported the Book Fair. It was a fantastic day! LCS received a credit of 15% of total sales to spend on further books for the school to enjoy and we cannot wait to bring even more high quality books into school.
