Children in Key Stage 1 had a lot of fun discovering what the Aztecs grew in their floating gardens by analysing the remains of food found in some ‘original’ Aztec poo! Our resident expert historians in Years 5 and 6 came to help us find evidence and identify the food that the remains were from. They used magnifying glasses to try to differentiate between cabbage and avocado, or between carrot and tomato skin. Evidence was found for 6 different foods that the Aztecs grew and ate.
