Children in Years 3 and 4 have been recreating some of Brunel’s engineering breakthroughs by conducting their own experiments. Here they are testing the theories he used in sinking the Rotherhithe shaft and building the Maidenhead bridge. They have also come up with some of their own designs for the competition to construct a bridge over the River Avon. In real life, Brunel’s won!
Engineering like Brunel!
