Keeping things afloat!

Year 5 and 6 have had a great half term combining science with engineering.  We have followed the engineering process of ask, imagine, plan, create, improve to make floating platforms according to a design criteria. It was wonderful learning about buoyancy and density to help us to choose the best materials for our platforms. When tested, some of them capsized but our resilient engineers went right back to their designs to improve them.
