Day 3
On the third day of the French residential trip, Year Five and six headed to breakfast. We had lots of pastries including croissants and pain au chocolates, hot chocolate and orange juice. Obviously there was bread and jam with butter. A few people also had cereal. After breakfast we made our baguettes for lunch. At 9am we got onto the coach for a 45 minute drive to the Aquarium (Nausicaa). We saw lots and lots of fish that were swimming around in their tanks that were filled to the brim with water. We stopped at the penguin tank for a few minutes where we saw one of the penguins swimming and the others standing outside not knowing what on earth to do. We then continued on walking through the tanks. After we finished we went to the gift shop and some souvenirs. Then we went to the beach and ate our baguettes. We played at the beach for around two and a half hours then we went to the market and spent some Euros (a lot of people bought sweets). We then hopped onto the coach and went to a chocolate factory. We tried the chocolate which was very nice and then went back to the chateau. We got ready for dinner but first they had a tray of snails for us to try. Everybody tried one and some people had second helpings! At 8:30pm we got ready for the silent disco, we were given headphones and turned them on. We could switch between three different channels. Music started playing through the headphones and we could recommend different songs. It was also Ben’s birthday so we sang happy birthday to him and had some cake. We were all tired so we went straight to bed.
Day 4
Another yummy breakfast. We ate fresh french pastries and had hot chocolate and orange juice while a lot of children had cereal. After we finished our breakfast we made our lunch for the day which was delicious baguettes with loads of different types of toppings to choose from. As we arrived on the coach we were given our plans for the day. This was our last day and it was amazing because we got to spend our leftover euros at the supermarket. While at the supermarket we all got snacks for the journey, including baguettes to bring back home. After about half an hour in the supermarket we went back to the coach and carried on with our journey. An hour later we arrived at the ferry and traveled to Dover where we took the coach to back to LCS. We arrived at 4:30 pm.
