Some of the excellent writers in Year 5 and 6 have been doing a 10 Sentence Story Challenge.
Using a series of prompts, they wrote a short story in just 10 sentences. They then edited it and some took the opportunity to double it. The next step was to write some reading comprehension questions on the writing and make sure they were covering a whole range of thinking skills. The final step was to read each others’ stories and answer the questions.
