How better to learn about changing state with years 1 and 2 than melting and cooling chocolate! We did some great predicting of what we thought would happen to the solid chocolate when we put it on heat and even designed some amazing machines that would melt and cool chocolate while we waited for our turn. Acting out the molecules of a solid and liquid really helped us to understand how each state behaves differently.
