The Eco-Council went to a local estate called the Balin Estate to learn about where their food waste goes. Peter works on the gardens there and showed us his wheely (rotating) composter. The food waste went in one side of the composter. It was left there for 3 weeks, sometimes he turned it. It felt hot when we put our hands near it. After 3 weeks the compost is ready! Peter told us that they use the compost on the Beautiful Balin flower beds. We would like to try being part of the composting too here at LCS.
